2011 NC Chess Championship
February 18 – 20, 2011 the City of Raleigh is excited to host the 2011 NC Scholastic & Collegiate Chess Championship! This event will be held at the new Raleigh Convention Center, 500 S Salisbury St, Raleigh, NC 27601-2114, right in the heart of our capitol city. Taking a short stroll up the newly remodeled Fayetteville Street will bring you to our original capital building, many wonderful State Museums, plenty of great shops, and fabulous restaurants. All the state museums have free entry to any resident of the great state of North Carolina and would be a fantastic way to spend time between your tournament rounds. New chess players at any level are welcome and encouraged to participate in this tournament. We have over 300 awards for all ability levels.
